Developer, Business Intelligence

The Developer, Business Intelligence role is dedicated to exploring data to generate insight and value, including supporting business decisions at the strategic, tactical and operational levels. The developer will be responsible for the end-to-end development of analytics including data gathering, cleansing, and dashboarding/visualizations.

The candidate should have experience working with data warehouses, data marts, experience with how data flows and ETL tools. The candidate should also have working knowledge of BI concepts and tools and technologies. Familiarity with machine learning, coding and scripting are pluses. The developer should be able to lead, prioritize and develop projects and communicate findings and updates.

Key Accountabilities/Job Duties

Develop efficient, scalable and repeatable processes using large scale data sets for external and internal customers. Create and troubleshoot databases and queries and develop algorithms and scripts


Create data visualizations and dashboards for internal and external clients.


Lead data technology solution designs and implementations and ensure requirements are met and delivered on time.


Manage complex projects including the management of documents, workbooks and code and provide written explanations in plain language that supports methodology, conclusions and observations.


Define KPIs for performance management and improvement, generate report results and present findings.

Job Qualifications


Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information data sciences or similar, or relevant work experience


Data analytics, business intelligence, database management, reporting or similar

Skill Sets

Experience with MS Excel, MS Access, SQL Server, SSIS, VBA, Tableau, Qlikview or similar. Knowledge of Python, R or machine learning are plusses
