Description

Job Description:

The CLS Operations Intern will be involved with daily operational reporting, productivity tracking, data analysis and process improvements. This role will review current SOPs to identify process gaps and opportunities. The Intern will work closely with site management to offer and implement process improvement recommendations.

 

Goals:

  • Learn the operational flow from inbound to outbound 
  • Provide support to operations team to identify improvement opportunities through data analysis, observations and understanding/ performing functions in assigned areas

 

Objectives:

  1. Learn basic processes/ functions in assigned departments
  2. Identify process improvement opportunities to increase productivity, quality and safety
  3. Review existing labor management process 
  4. Summarize gaps, opportunities, and cost impacts

 

Major Assignments and Projects:

  1. Develop/enhance labor planning tool
  2. Analyze and determine proper storage placement of Inventory
  3.  Suggest/Implement above tools with help of site management

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a four year undergraduate degree program in good standing at an accredited college or university and pursuing a Supply Chain/Logistics degree or related field
  • Senior or 16 or less credits remaining for graduation
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week and complete a 12-week internship program
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office with a high level of proficiency in Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
